Metrocenter Academy was founded in 1997 as Chris-town Academy. It was created through a partnership with Glendale Union High School District, CISA, the Simon Youth Foundation and the local Mall.

Metrocenter targets students that have 10 credits or more and are 17 to 21 years of age. These are students that and have not been successful in a traditional setting. However, Metrocenter offers flexible, open exit/open entry scheduling, making it a great choice for working and/or parenting students.

Metrocenter Academy is a public high school that is regionally accredited and a member of the Glendale Union High School District.
