CISA Chosen to Participate in
ASU's First Public Allies Arizona
October 2006
This fall, ASU’s Center for Nonprofit Leadership and Management launched Public Allies Arizona in the Phoenix community. Non-profit organizations were encouraged to apply through an application process to be a part of this new program and CISA was fortunate to be selected as a partner organization.
As a partner in this new program, ASU will place one service-minded young person for a 10-month apprenticeship with CISA. To support this new Public Ally, CISA will receive a three-year, renewable grant, from the Corporation for National Service in partnership with the Public Allies national office.
ASU will continue to provide in depth training in professional and leadership development throughout the Public Ally’s 10 months of service as well as monitor their progress through the program.
The goal of the Public Allies Arizona program is to match these young Allies with non-profit organizations so they can create and enhance programs designed to influence the community through projects in youth development, public health and community development. CISA is very thankful to receive this opportunity to not only to enhance our programs in the community, but also to participate in the development of the next generation of service-minded youth.
