Supplies 4 Students is a joint effort among Communities In Schools of Arizona (CISA), Tempe Communities In Schools (TCIS), and our business partners to provide children in need with backpacks, school supplies, clothing and shoes for the upcoming school year. Our goal this year is to provide these items to 7,000 children from local Valley schools.

How Does It Work?

Host a supply drive at your place of work, worship, or community center. CISA will provide poster, fliers, and bins to collect donations. At the end of the drive you may drop off your supplies at our central storage location or we will arrange to pick them up.* Monetary donations are also accepted - we will do the shopping for you! Sponsorship opportunities are still available.
*Pickups based on amount of supplies collected.

Why Should I Participate?

The schools served by this program report at least 80% of their students living below the federal poverty level. Many of these children start the school year without clothing, shoes, schools supplies and other basic items. If education is the key to a better future, we must provide all students with the tools necessary to succeed in school and prepare for life.

Volunteers Needed

CISA needs volunteers to:
Sorting Days
Sort & organize donations - August 1 & 2 from 9 am - 3 pm (2-4 hour shifts available)
Supply Pick Up Days
Assist with the loading and unloading of backpacks on pick up days (August 4 & 5)
