Arizona Mills
When you think of Arizona Mills you naturally think of great outlet shopping, right? Well, Arizona Mills is much more than a wonderful shopping destination. They are a strong partner, truly committed to our community and our schools.
Starting in 2000, Arizona Mills began it’s partnership with CISA with the back-to-school supply drive, “Supplies 4 Students.” The goal its first year - provide 1,000 supply-filled backpacks to local area schools in need. Arizona Mills supported this program by advertising it within the mall, providing storage space, and by allowing CISA to set up shop for three weeks in the food court while countless volunteers accepted donations. Because of their support, it was a rousing success!
Today, with the help of Arizona Mills, this supply drive has grown to provide over 5,000 filled backpacks to local students in underprivileged schools each school year. The students that receive these backpacks filled with new clothing and supplies are desperately in need. Most would have started the school year without a pencil, box of crayons, or backpack, let alone a clean white shirt to wear to school. With the help of Arizona Mills and many corporate and private partners, Supplies 4 Students has sent thousands of students back to school prepared and ready to learn.
But, Arizona Mills didn’t stop there. It was not enough to be just a good corporate citizen. Marketing Director Denise Hart joined the Board of Communities In Schools of Arizona in 2003 to continue our mission of “connecting community resources with schools.” Denise Hart states: quote here.
Thank you Arizona Mills and Denise Hart of rolling up your sleeves and supporting our efforts with local schools!
